Recently Adekunle Gold dropped a new tune dubbed “Kelegbe Megbe” which literally means “Know Your Mate” in English.
The song which came in a not so usual Adekunle Gold’s vibe has not been performing so well lately but then it has been racking in lots of positive comments from plenty of music aficionados.
So I see the need to dole-out my own review and verdict about the lesson-packed song from the Gold’s camp, and I hope you enjoy this one.
So since the release of Adekunle Gold’s sophomore album “About 30” the singer went on a long recess from the music industry and he came back with a new vibe that was experimented on “Before You Wake Up“, and then cemented with this “Kelegbe Megbe”
The Fela inspired highly spirited tune was produced by Sess(the Prblm Kid), the same conduit where the energetic and mild tempo beat of “Before You Wake Up” ensue from.

On Kelegbe Megbe, Adekunle Gold dishes out a free life lesson tips to those factions of people that don’t know their level and also proclive to Passing their boundaries.
“Money don’t buy Charisma“, “Ogogoro no be Vodka” are the two most notable lyrical line deduce from the song, as they asseverate more on the fact that no matter how something might be widely accepted they still can’t match some particular standard.
The Ex-YBNL artiste, Adekunle Gold uses “Kelegbe Megbe” as a medium to halloo the attention of singers claiming to be the unrivaled ones, he opined that they might be the No. 1, but he (Adekunle Gold) owns the table.
Is Gold trying to sound a warning signal to Wizkid, Davidoand the rest pre-eminent singers that has been taking the shine for a while now? Well Maybe not, probably this is just a song that came from normal artistic heaven.
More as I tried not calling names in this review, I realized it won’t be complete without a miniature of controversy locked in it. But I won’t go too deep in that.
