A man has revealed how his mother reacted after watching the Nigerian movie, Dark October, produced by Linda Ikeji.
The man shared the video with the caption, “POV: My mom after watching a movie about those four Portharcourt boys that were killed”.
In the video, his mum is seen weeping in anguish after seeing the movie about four male university students who were beaten and burnt alive by a mob after being falsely accused of theft.
“All of them?” She asked her son in Igbo.
“All of them died,” her son informed her.
“And it’s a real-life story. It happened live,” the son said, adding to his mother’s distress.
The woman cried harder, clapped her hands together, and placed them on her head and she went into her room crying.
Dark October is Linda Ikeji’s debut film. She is set to release her second feature film this year, titled The Night of June 7th.
