The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says it has uncovered a warehouse in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti state where expired and mislabeled goods were being sold.

In a statement statement released on social media. FCCPC said following intelligence reports, its operatives raided the warehouse suspected of selling harmful products, including vegetable oils, cereals and other fast moving consumer goods.

The agency stated that during the raid, the FCCPC found evidence of expired goods still on the shelves, deceptive labels on products, fake barcodes and repackaged and  potentially unsafe products

The FCCPC said the warehouse is now sealed, and the owners along with a supplier are being investigated and that appropriate enforcement actions will follow.
